Review the France route
Service — household packaging

A documented French packaging route,
from scope to the annual declaration.

We coordinate the household-packaging file around the entity, the sales channel and the packaging actually placed on the French market: eco-organisation membership, the unique identifier published by ADEME, the annual declaration window and the evidence that supports it.

Indicative private-service pricing: Amazon Starter €399 in year one · Standard €474/year + €150 setup · eco-contributions and other third-party costs excluded

The outcome

One traceable packaging file for the French market

  • Responsible entity, channels and packaging components recorded
  • Eco-organisation membership, unique identifier and declaration route kept together
  • Annual volumes, invoices, payments and filing receipts organised

The eco-organisation decides membership; ADEME issues the unique identifier and publishes it on the public register

Regulatory basis

A real register, one identifier per scheme

French extended producer responsibility uses a public register operated by ADEME. A producer holds one unique identifier per scheme concerned, and the identifier is generated from the membership transmitted by the eco-organisation rather than requested directly. As checked on 18 August 2026 the public register contained 306,657 registrations, of which 211,302 belonged to companies outside France.

Where a French packaging file commonly breaks

One answer is copied across every channel

Marketplace sales, own-webshop sales, direct sales to a business end user and sales to a French importer or reseller are mapped separately before any conclusion.

The identifier is treated as the whole service

The unique identifier does not replace the product inventory, the declaration mode, the annual filing, the invoices or the sorting information on the pack.

Eco-contributions are mixed into the service fee

Contributions are set and invoiced by the eco-organisation on its own scale. Our fee stays separate and takes no percentage of them.

How it works

Four controlled steps.

01

Document the facts

Collect the entity, products, channels, contracts and available evidence for household packaging.

02

Confirm scope and dependencies

Receive a written map of assumptions, exclusions, third parties and points requiring approval.

03

Authorise the agreed work

Private fees, external costs and client responsibilities are confirmed before any submission or commitment.

04

Coordinate and retain evidence

After a valid engagement, each action, external decision and authentic receipt is stored with its date and version.

Frequently asked

Is there really a French packaging register?

Yes. ADEME operates the register and publishes producers with their unique identifiers. That is a material difference from countries where a consortium membership is the only record.

Do we need a French VAT number or a SIRET?

ADEME describes a SIRET for French companies and a VAT number for EU and foreign companies. We do not sell a French tax identifier, and any additional administrative step is disclosed in the written scope rather than promised here.

Which eco-organisation should we join?

Several are approved for household packaging and papers, and their scales differ. The comparison is part of the work; the decision belongs to the client.

Does one file cover our other products?

No. Electrical equipment, batteries, textiles, furniture and other schemes each have their own approved eco-organisations and their own identifier.
